When Boredom Strikes

October 20th, 2009 Nics Nguyen Comments off

Well, what started out as a “I guess it would be nice if I…” ended with a “Well, that was long overdue.”

I spent two hours washing, claying, and waxing my car today.  And it was both as bad and not as bad as I was expecting it to be.  The size of the car was good for a person as lazy as I am, but I let the junk and grime build up for over two years, so it took a lot of effort with claying to get the paint smooth as glass.

It was worth it in the end though, too bad I don’t have before/after pictures, but I take satisfaction in knowing my car’s exterior is clean.  The interior, however, is a mess. Maybe I should work on that tomorrow… Well, whenever the interior gets done, I’ll take some after pictures.

Oh, and note to others, Griot’s Garage’s liquid wax (whatever it’s name is) does not dry out to white on the MINI’s black wheel fenders, which is a plus in my book since I was too lazy to blue tape off the edges and such.

Website Server Issues

October 8th, 2009 Nics Nguyen Comments off

I realize that my blog and all associated domains are randomly crashing and/or timing out due to the heavy server loads where my website is hosted.

I’m trying to work with my provider to solve the problems, so bear with me since I’m as irritated as you guys are since I’m having problems updating and even uploading files to my website.

UPDATE (10/14/09): Yeap, still going shitty on my end for getting my problems fixed.  Seems the server has isolated the problem and are trying to patch it up, but the website has been an on/off thing due to server loads and mysql problems.  We’ll see how long the website stays consistent.
