Best Way to Start A Drive
After working a busy 8 hour day at my new job, I took the back roads to get to the freeway. Let’s just say I pass a few Almost-Million-Dollar homes. When you think no one is looking, you tend to speed.
So I’m briskly climbing up this hill, but once I get there, I see a motorcycle cop, he’s even parked on the freeway on-ramp; sneaky cop. I think “Oh shit,” since I don’t feel like giving the City of ____ my money. I’m going maybe 51 mph, but I believe the speed limit is 40? As I drive past him, he pulls out onto the road. Not feeling too snazzy at this point in time, know what I mean?
As I’m entering the freeway, I try to pick up speed from 50 to 60mph to match up with freeway traffic, and I see an Acura TSX. He’s picking up speed to block me out of cutting him off, something that I would have done if there was no cop behind me, or at least 90% positive I would have. Surprise, the cop turns on his lights. Shockingly, he goes around me to get the TSX, ahahahha.
Apparently, my MINI is “too cute” to know how to speed. …And I’m totally okay with that stereotype.
